CEO OF TRANSFORMATION CANADA
CEO/President of an environmental technology company and an environmental engineering company working in countries around the world providing environmentally sustainable products and solutions in areas of water and waste management. Prior to setting up his own companies he worked for the largest engineering company in Canada for a period of 25 years developing new innovative environmental solutions for wastewater treatment and solid waste management.
He has 46 years of experience as a top level environmental engineer is based on a spiritual calling he received that he can testify to in 1968. The companies that he leads with his two sons Derek, and Justin, are purpose driven and kingdom value based. In his corporate work he has seen the kingdom advance in miraculous ways as he and his two sons and their corporate teams have developed industry changing creative and innovative solutions to reduce the pollution and energy impact of our urban communities.
He with his wife Annita, who is his chief corporate intercessor for their companies, employees, clients and vendors, have been actively advancing and leading transformational change in Canada through Transformation Canada, of which he is CEO and Chairman of the board.

Mauricio came to Canada from Colombia in 1991 with a high school diploma and zero English, and worked as a cleaner for four years. He’s now a senior International Marketing Consultant with the Ontario Government leading U.S. export initiatives, and a successful real estate agent-investor. Most would have forgotten their community; not Mauricio.
He is the pioneer uniting of Hispanic professionals and businesspeople from across Canada. Since 2001 and on his free time, he’s founded four professional/business associations, led many initiatives, and created the annual ‘10 most influential Hispanic Canadians’ awards to date with 110 influential winners from six provinces. He’s helped hundreds of immigrants and raised money (in the past two years, Mauricio raised $220,000 for community scholarships). He’s privately meet with Prime Ministers, Ministers, and influential figures from Canada’s society to help our community.
Mauricio was quoted in the international best-seller "Why Mexicans Don't Drink Molson" and written for three York University books. He was the first Hispanic to be involved with the 2015 Pan-American Games, and the only one who successfully advocated for ethnic inclusion in procurement and in home ownership at the Pan-American Village. He’s been profiled by CBC, Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, and most Hispanic media in Canada and even overseas.
His many recognitions include being inducted into the 'Canadian Who is Who' - leading biographical reference that for over a century has listed the most prominent Canadians. Mauricio lives in downtown Toronto and loves to cycle, paint, play tennis, and read.
